Fast forward to the summer of 2011. With permission of the Parks department the track is at a level that we have never seen before. 70 truckloads of dirt and lots of hard work have made this new track possible.

Lance Gonzalez started the craze going again
in 2007. He wanted to run his race car but did not know where he could
go. We told him about the "old dirt track" at Gun Hill road. He decided to work
on the track and put it back in shape. He spent his time, energy and his money
to make it much better after years of neglect.
